CatdlCrit2013 cropGina Poertner, CHES is a Certified Health Education Specialist with over 25 years experience in sports performance, rehab, and coaching the various disciplines of running, cycling and triathlon. She trains athletes ranging from beginner to world champion.

An endurance road cyclist, Gina is also a triathlete, runner and life-long competitor who understands the unique needs of athletes. She specializes in bicycle fitting and positioning, soft tissue mobility, myofascial and trigger point technique, and adapted sports.

Gina has served on the sports medicine staffs of AAU Junior Olympics, National Gymnastics Championships, National Indoor Track & Field Championships, and individual world class, Olympic, and professional athletes. She is also a Certified Official for USA Track & Field and continues to officiate local, national and international events.

As an Intern at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, Gina studied under orthopedic surgeon Dr. Charles Henning while serving as Athletic Trainer for Wichita Southeast High School and studying physiology at Wichita State University.

Gina has authored and co-authored training and nutrition articles for Ironman.com, PrologueCycling.comPezCyclingNews.com, and LAVAmagazine.com.
