![]() Held under USA Cycling Permit 2013-1676 Every year road riders anticipate this essential training event. Our venue returns to the Honeywell loop, just off the K7/K10 interchange. Parking is at the First United Church of the Resurrection. Dates: April 3, 10, 17, 24, 30 May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 June 5, 12, 19, 26 July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 August 7, 14, 21, 28 Course Description: Located next to the Honeywell plant, the course is a 1.46-mile loop with slight changes in elevation. The course is open to traffic but historically, traffic has been very light. All participants must adhere to all traffic laws and regulation. When in doubt, err on the side of safety and yield to traffic. Registration: Registration for each race is $10. Race day registration opens at 5:30 p.m. and closes at 6:05 p.m. for the A-group, 6:50 p.m. for the B-group. All participants must have an annual USA Cycling license (available at www.usacycling.org) or purchase a One Day license for $5. All riders must also LEGIBLY complete the USA Cycling Liability Release form. Please complete forms prior to attending the race to expedite the registration process. Checks are to be made payable to Life Balance Sports. Registration fees will not be prorated or refunded.
Event: Mass start. A-group (Men Cat 1/2/3, Women 1/2) begins at 6:15 p.m. and will ride 40 min. + 3 laps. B-group (Men Cat 4/5, Women 3/4, Juniors) will begin 5 minutes after the A-group finish (Approximately 7:00 p.m.) and will ride 30 min. + 3 laps. Rules: All USAC rules apply. CSPC approved helmets are required at all times with the chinstrap properly secured. Promoter reserves the right to adjust start times and distances, alter or change courses, or remove riders from a race as deemed necessary on the day of the race. Riders age 18 and under must have USA Cycling Liability Release form signed by a parent or legal guardian. A-racers are not allowed in the B-race. Mentors must obtain prior approval from Race Director and sign a waiver. Mentors must wear a yellow/orange vest and remain behind the main pack, then exit the race with 3 laps to go. Failure to comply will be considered bandit racing. Directions and Parking: From the KC area, take College Blvd./111th St. west and cross the K7 overpass. Turn north on Valley Pkwy. and follow to the parking lot at the First United Church of the Resurrection. Please park farthest away from the building as church members have first priority to park for their evening functions. Restrooms: Restroom facilities are limited at this venue. Please make use of the gas stations and/or fast food facilities on your way to the course. Please consider purchasing some food or drink while you are there. Pre-race Warm-up: Warm-up is not allowed on the course during races. There are roads near the course to warm up on. Weather: Races are held rain or shine. Riders choose to ride in the rain or not. There are no refunds for storm cancellations. Promoter may cancel, postpone, or combine events if lightning or other threatening conditions exist.
